Position Overview :
PayFit is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to help shape how the company is seen, understood, and trusted across France, Spain, and the UK.
This is a strategic communications role. We are looking for someone who sees PR as a business lever: a way to build trust with entrepreneurs and SMB decision-makers, support go-to-market priorities, strengthen our category positioning, and amplify the moments that matter for the company.
The role sits at the intersection of reputation, narrative, product launches, thought leadership, and AI-era visibility. You will work closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Growth, Content, SEO/GEO, and local market teams to make sure PayFit’s external narrative is clear, differentiated, and activated across the right channels.
We believe the communications job of tomorrow has to take into account how people increasingly turn to AI to find answers. We are not looking for a PR lead who is also a GEO specialist. We are looking for someone with strong PR instincts, sharp editorial judgment, and genuine curiosity for AI search, someone who can make the partnership with SEO/GEO and Content a real collaboration rather than a handoff.

Reporting to the Brand & Comms Director, you will define how PayFit shows up externally across the press, AI-generated answers, the conversations that shape our category, and the voices of our leadership team.
Key responsibilities :
Narrative & Governance
Own PayFit's messaging platform and ensure it remains coherent across markets, from a press release to an All Hands.
Build governance frameworks that enable spokespeople, teams, and agency partners to communicate consistently.
Lead crisis communications frameworks and partner with other teams on sensitive topics.
PR & LLM Visibility
Lead earned media strategy across France, Spain, and the UK, working with targeted agency partners.
Secure quality media coverage in Tier 1 and Tier 2 publications across all three markets, building visibility and trust with entrepreneurs and SMB decision makers.
Build PayFit's presence in AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude) on payroll, HR, and SMB topics in close collaboration with SEO/GEO, Growth, and Content teams.
Product Launch Amplification
Own the messaging for every product milestone, defining the narrative, the angles, and how it shows up across channels.
Coordinate across Product Marketing, Brand, Content, SEO, and Growth to ensure campaigns are cohesive and all channels are activated effectively before launch.
Thought Leadership
Build and run a thought leadership program for the CEO and leadership team: clear editorial lines per spokesperson, strong message discipline, and executive readiness for media and speaking opportunities.

Qualifications :
8+ years of experience in communications, with a proven PR track record in B2B, multi-market environments.
Writing at the publication level in both French and English.
Genuinely AI-fluent: you use LLMs as part of your daily workflow and you apply critical judgment to maintain quality and differentiation. AI sharpens your work; it doesn't replace the thinking behind it.
Autonomous and structured: you build a plan, hold it, and report back with clear metrics without being micromanaged.
Strong editorial instincts: you think in angles and audiences, not formats and deliverables.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without hierarchical authority.
Nice to have:
Background in B2B SaaS, HR tech, or professional services
Experience managing PR across 3+ markets simultaneously
Have built or contributed to a thought leadership program from scratch
Spanish language skills
Understanding of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) or AI-era PR practices
