About the role :
As a Senior Director, you will be responsible for the Data team (from data engineering to analytics engineering to analytics) and for driving data initiatives that improve the customer experience, drive product innovation, and contribute to decision making and business growth.
At PayFit, to give you context, we have implemented a modern data stack on AWS with Airbyte, Snowflake, DBT, Looker, Hex and Amplitude.
Reporting directly to Sylvain, Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will :
• Progress and extend the data strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.
• Manage and level up a team of roughly 15ppl, composed of Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers to execute the roadmap and meet the company's goals.
• Drive the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven initiatives that will drive business growth, improve customer experience, and enhance product innovation.
• Oversee the design and maintenance of data infrastructure and systems
• Ensure that data architecture and systems are scalable and maintainable, and ensure a strong relationship with the engineering team to define & implement an efficient data ingestion and consumption strategy
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including product management, engineering, business operations, finance and customer success, to ensure alignment and buy-in for data initiatives. In particular, collaborate with product and engineering to further develop PayFit’s AI initiatives.
• Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of data initiatives
• Manage data-related risks and ensure compliance with all relevant data privacy and protection regulations.
• Provide thought leadership on data strategy, technology trends, and emerging data-related opportunities and risks.
• Communicate data insights and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
This role is for you if :
• You are an experienced leader (8+ years of experience) in data management, data analytics, and/or data engineering including several years leading multiple teams and managing managers.
• You have strong management skills and are an inspiring leader, passionate about developing high-performing teams and excellent at pushing team collaboration to break down silos.
• You have a proven track record to develop and execute successful data strategies, ideally for a SaaS business (B2B) model that have driven business growth, improved customer experience, and enhanced product innovation.
• You have technical expertise (Snowflake, DBT, Looker, Hex, Amplitude are key tools we use) in topics such as machine learning & AI, data warehousing, data engineering, and other data-related technologies.
• You have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including executive teams and business partners.
• You speak English fluently and you want to work in an international and dynamic environment
• You have good knowledge of data privacy and protection regulations (GDPR)

Your future team :
Together with your team members (15ppl), you will enable Data best practices across the company and drive change through evangelization, training and decision’s taking.
Your future manager, Sylvain, is CPO (overseeing product, design, data and compliance teams), and will ensure your smooth onboarding and further evolution in your role!

2. Interview with Sylvain, CPO - 45min
3. You will then meet 2 Data Leads, Justyna (Data Analytics) & Olivier (Analytics Engineering) - 60min
4. You will meet a Stakeholder outside of the data team - 60min
5. The last step would be having a business case - 60min
